Welcome!
We are a group of
mothers, fathers, grandparents, caregivers and teachers who value
both our children’s education and community involvement. Our
organization endeavors to provide opportunities to grow as a parent
while catering to the changing needs of families through the early
childhood years.
We are a local
chapter of the Texas PTA and belong to the Lewisville ISD Council of
PTA’s. We participate in child advocacy and encourage
participation on legislative issues affecting children.
The heart of
TCECPTA lies in the camaraderie that we have to offer. I
believe that the single greatest benefit to this group is the
friendships that you and your children will make. We have
great fun together! There are playgroups, parties (free to
members!) and Parents’ Nights Out. We also host special
children’s activities at our General Meetings and have informative
speakers for the adults. Childcare is offered at our meetings
(for a nominal fee) by trained and dedicated caregivers.
This is a place
to find comfort, support and great information. Our goal is to
empower you as a parent, educate you on child advocacy and entertain
you along the way. We have many programs to support families
from birth through kindergarten. Please take advantage of all
we have to offer… and if you find yourself new to the group, get
involved by volunteering! I say from experience that becoming
a member of the board (within a few weeks of joining the group!) has
enriched my life and the lives of my family. I have made many
new friends, gained confidence and experienced the satisfaction of
giving to a group that means so much to me.
So please, take a
look around our site. Check out the special benefits that PTA
membership has to offer. And if you like what you see, come to
one of our meetings… I know you’ll be glad you did!
Take care!
